A new reversible circuit synthesis algorithm based on cycle representations of permutations

Abstract

We present a new algorithm for synthesis of reversible circuits using totally controlled Toffoli gates with positive and negative controls. The idea behind our method is to explore properties of the cycle representation of permutations. Our approach may be easily extended for the design of reversible circuits.
