Abstract

The results of inelastic neutron scattering measurements on TFXA (Time Focused Crystal Analyser) are presented. The observed background-subtracted spectra indicate a softening of a low energy transfer mode at ∼12meV, together with significant shifts and intensity changes at higher energies, as the Mg content is increased. Studies of LiTi2O4 above and below Tc suggests that some changes may be occurring, though the data is of insufficient quality to draw any firm conclusions.
