This feature is well known as Stress Hyporesponsive Period (SHRP) and is maintained by specific components of maternal care, such as LG and milk delivery, and maternal behavior disruption and stressful situations may contribute to disturbances in this sensitive period [40–43]. Even though there are no major differences in maternal behavior under rest conditions, we observed changes in the pup retrieval test, since WAR dams failed to group the litter, demonstrated by higher latencies to retrieve pups and not grouping the whole litter.
