Abstract

This paper describes the performance and learning characteristics of the continuously adaptive line spectral pair form for prediction error filtering. A least-mean-square (LMS) type adaptive algorithm which directly calculates the line spectral pair coefficients on a sample-by-sample basis is developed. The algorithm proposed here is shown to have higher convergence rate and lower misadjustment as compared to other algorithms reported previously.
