Abstract

Tris(trimethylsilyl)silane (TTMSS) is an efficient reagent for the formation of carbon-centered radicals from 1,3-oxathiolane, 5-oxo-1,3-oxathiolane, N(methylcarbonyl)-1,3-thiazolidine and N(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,3- thiazolidine derivatives by the selective cleavage of the carbon-sulphur bond.
