Furthermore, the whole INSR gene of PCOS patients has been sequenced and no significant abnormalities have been found (Sorbara et al., 1994; Talbot et al., 1996). It has been reported that D19S884 A8 is associated with insulin resistance and other metabolic effects in women with PCOS (Urbanek et al., 2007).
