Synthesis, single crystal, TD-DFT, molecular dynamics simulation and DNA binding studies of carbothioamide analog
2023, Journal of Molecular StructureSynthesis, spectroscopic characterization, computational and biological evaluation of organometallic Re(I) complexes with 5-(2-butyl-5-chloro-1H-imidazol-4-yl)-1,3-diaryl- 4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole
2021, Inorganic Chemistry CommunicationsCitation Excerpt :The binding mode and binding constant (Kb) of a complex toward DNA give an idea about the strength of interaction, which can be obtained by studying UV–Vis. Complex bind to DNA through major or minor groove results in hypochromism and small redshift [29]. The binding constant (Kb) values are estimated from the ratio of the intercept.
DNA interaction, anticancer, antibacterial, ROS and lipid peroxidation studies of quinoxaline based organometallic Re(I) carbonyls
2021, Journal of Molecular StructureCitation Excerpt :The successive addition of DNA (100 μL) to the fixed concentration of complexes at 10 min break time resulted in a decrease in absorption (hypochromism) and a small redshift. It suggests that all complexes (I-V) bind to DNA through major or minor groove results [35]. The binding constant (Kb) values were estimated from the plot of [DNA]/(εa-εf) versus [DNA] concentration, the slope to intercept ratio value gives binding constant Kb value (Fig. 5).
