Abstract

Eight microsatellite loci were isolated and characterized from Glyptothorax laosensis using an enriched genomic library method. The polymorphism of these markers was determined from 39 individuals. The number of alleles per locus ranged from 2 to 7. The observed and expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.7407 to 0.9407 and from 0.8835 to 0.9079, respectively. The eight polymorphic markers would be used to study the genetic diversity and genetic structure of the G. Laosensis.
