Editor’s Note: In Dao VI.1 (March 2007), we published two articles by Liu Qingping and Guo Qiyong respectively, representing the two sides of the debate on “Filial Piety: The Root of Morality or the Source of Corruption” still going on in China today. In Dao VII.1 and VII.2 (March and June 2008), we published a series of comments on these two articles. Here we publish Guo’s responses to these comments.
