  • Published:
Pharmaceutical Chemistry Journal Aims and scope

A polyprenols fraction was extracted form cotton leaves. Their chemical structure was demonstrated and quantitative contents were estimated and standardized. Polyprenols from cotton leaves were found to have gastroprotective activity in “stress,” acetylsalicylic acid, and ethanol models of ulcers, and to have therapeutic activity in models of chronic ulcers induced by acetic acid.
