Structure and Properties of Boron- and Zirconium-Inoculated Refractory Nickel Alloys Subjected to HTTM

The effect of high-temperature treatment of melt (HTTM) and born and zirconium inoculation on the structure and properties of castings from nickel refractory alloys ZhS3LS-VI and ZMI3U-VI is studied. Chemical and gas analyses of the alloys are performed, the macro- and microstructures are investigated, the thermal conductivity, microhardness, mechanical properties at room temperature and the long-term strength are determined. Variants of processes improving the structure and mechanical properties of castings are suggested.
