Abstract
The present study examined the influence of career adaptability and gender on career decision-making difficulties among Turkish adolescents. The sample consisted of 702 high school students, 55% girls. The results showed that concern correlated negatively with lack of readiness, but positively with lack of information and inconsistent information. Control was negatively associated only with lack of readiness. Curiosity correlated positively with lack of readiness but negatively with lack of information and inconsistent information. Confidence was unrelated to any difficulties. The model did not change according to gender. These findings can provide guidance for proactive career services in schools.
Résumé
Relations entre adaptabilité de carrière et difficultés de prise de décision de carrière chez des lycéens turcs Cette étude examine les influences de l’adaptabilité de carrière et du genre sur les difficultés de décision de carrière des adolescents turcs. L’échantillon était composé de 702 lycéens (55% de filles). Les résultats ont montré que la variable Préoccupation était associée négativement aux variables Manque de préparation, mais positivement au Manque d’informations et Informations incohérentes. La variable Contrôle était associée négativement au Manque de préparation. La Curiosité est associée positivement au Manque de préparation, mais négativement au Manque d’informations et Informations incohérentes. La Confiance était sans rapport avec toutes les difficultés. Le modèle ne différait pas en fonction du sexe. Ces résultats peuvent être utiles pour les services d’orientation scolaire.
Zusammenfassung
Der Zusammenhang zwischen der Laufbahn-Adaptabilität und beruflichen Entscheidungsschwierigkeiten bei türkischen Gymnasiasten/innen Die vorliegende Studie untersuchte den Einfluss der Laufbahn-Adaptabilität und des Geschlechts auf die beruflichen Entscheidungsschwierigkeiten türkischer Jugendlicher. Die Stichprobe bestand aus 702 Gymnasiasten, davon 55% Mädchen. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass Interesse negativ mit mangelnder Bereitschaft, aber positiv mit Mangel an Informationen sowie inkonsistenten Informationen zusammenhängte. Kontrolle hängte nur negativ mit mangelnder Bereitschaft zusammen. Neugier war positiv mit mangelnder Bereitschaft verbunden, aber negativ mit Mangel an Informationen und inkonsistenten Informationen. Zuversicht war mit keiner der Schwierigkeiten verbunden. Das Modell war stabil für beide Geschlechter. Die Ergebnisse können als Orientierungshilfe Career Service Angebote in den Schulen dienen.
Resumen
Las relaciones entre la adaptabilidad profesional y la toma de decisions profesionales en los estudiantes turcos de enseñanzas medias. El presente estudio analiza las influencias de la adaptabilidad professional y el género con las dificultades en la toma de decisions profesionales de los adolescents turcos. La muestra consta de 702 alumnos de enseñanza media, 55% de los cuales eran muchachas. Los resultados muestran que este asunto correlaciona negativamente con la falta de preparación, pero positivamente con la falta de información y la información inconsistente. El control estaba solamente relacionado negativamente con la falta de preparación. La curiosidad se relacionaba positivamente con la falta de preparación, pero negativamente con la falta de información y la información inconsistente. La confianza no estaba relacionada con ninguna de las dificultades. El molelo no cambiaba en función del género. Los resultados pueden proporcionar orientaciones para unos servicios profesionales proactivos en las escuelas turcas.
