Universal model for catalytic reforming

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

Abstract

A universal mathematical model is derived for a reforming process in a series of three reactors with an intermediate preheated mix.

Results are presented for the modeling of reforming processes with a radial axial input of components of the reaction mix; this makes it possible to select the volume of catalyst and inlet temperature, which will ensure a product of the required quality with the reformer operating at a given output.
