Erratum to: Antonie van Leeuwenhoek (2013) 104:1151–1157 DOI 10.1007/s10482-013-0037-8
Subsequent to the publication of the above paper it has been brought to our attention that the species epithet proposed for the taxon represented by strain JLT2010T is not grammatically correct as “Altuibacter”. It should have been proposed as Altibacter. We here propose the corrected name for the taxon represented by strain JLT2010T.
Description of Altibacter gen. nov.
Altibacter (Al.ti.bac’ter, L. neut. n. altum, deep water; N.L. masc. n. bacter, rod; N.L. masc. n. Altibacter, rod from deep water).
The description of the genus is as given for Altuibacter in Chen et al. (2013) Antonie van Leeuwenhoek 104:1151–1157.
The type species is Altibacter lentus.

Altibacter lentus (L. masc. adj. lentus viscid)
The description of the species is as given for Altuibacter lentus in Chen et al. (2013) Antonie van Leeuwenhoek 104:1151–1157. The type strain is JLT2010T (=JCM 18884T = CGMCC 1.12167T).
