Chondrosarcome mésenchymateux de la phalange distale de l’hallux chez un adolescent—À propos d’un cas

Résumé:

Les auteurs décrivent un chondrosarcome mésenchymateux de la phalange distale de l’hallux chez un adolescent de 15 ans. La tumeur était lytique avec une destruction complète de la phalange et un envahissement des parties molles. L’amputation de la tumeur emportant une partie de la tête de la phalange proximale a été réalisée. L’histologie a permis le diagnostic et apprécie le degré de malignité de la tumeur. La rareté de cette localisation et la survenue inhabituelle de la tumeur chez l’adolescent sont soulignées par les auteurs. Il apparaît que la récidive locale est fonction du type de chirurgie effectué.

Abstract:

The authors describe a mesenchymal chondrosarcoma of the distal phalanx of the first toe in a fifteen-year old boy. The tumour was lytic with a complete destruction of the phalanx and an extension in soft tissues. A large resection of the tumour and the head of the proximal phalanx was made. The histological study permits the diagnostic and evaluates the degree of malignancy. The site of this tumour is uncommon in the foot and unusual in an adolescent. The recovery depends on the type of surgery.
