Abstract

In the last 10 years there has been an explosion in the quantity of information available on the internet and also in the ease with which this can be accessed. This has created both difficulties and opportunities for those who may wish to use this information and also to those who provide it. Solutions are being created to facilitate access to relevant information for those working in healthcare and the related sciences. The world of medical and scientific publishing is changing and the balance of power seems to be moving gradually away from the publishers to those who provide the content for the publications.
