Stellenwert der Arthroskopie des Ellbogengelenks

Zusammenfassung

Die Arthroskopie am Ellbogengelenk ist mit 2% aller Arthroskopien ein noch wenig geübtes Verfahren. Sie bringt dennoch eine klare intraartikuläre Diagnose, liefert allerdings in etwa 10% der Fälle unauffällige Gelenke. Trotz der Fortentwicklung nichtinvasiver Verfahren, insbesondere der Kernspintomographie, hat die diagnostische Arthroskopie in geeigneten Fällen nach wie vor ihre Berechtigung. Die operative Arthroskopie ist vorwiegend resektiv, nur selten kann eine Rekonstruktion des Gelenks vorgenommen werden.

Abstract

Accounting for only 2% of all arthroscopies, elbow arthroscopy is a rarely practised tehnique. Nonetheless, it allows a clear diagnosis of intraarticular conditions, though it reveals no findings in 10% of all cases. Despite the progress that has been made in the noninvasive techniques, especially magnetic resonance tomography, there is still a place for diagnostic elbow arthroscopy in selected cases. Operative arthroscopy generally means resection in the case of the elbow; ¶reconstruction of the joint is rarely possible.
