Therapiezufriedenheit mund-, kiefer- und gesichtschirurgischer Patienten nach Operationen unter Klinischer Hypnose

Patient satisfaction after oral and maxillofacial procedures under clinical hypnosis

Zusammenfassung

Fragestellung

In der Klinik für Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie des Universitätsklinikums Schleswig-Holstein/Campus Lübeck wird seit dem Jahr 2002 intraoperative Klinische Hypnose angeboten. Neben einer Evaluation der Verfahrenseffizienz durch kontrollierte Studien sollten auch die behandelten Patienten in eine Beurteilung des nicht allgemein etablierten adjuvanten Verfahrens einbezogen werden.

Material und Methode

Im Rahmen einer entsprechenden Patientenbefragung beurteilten 70 in kombinierter Lokalanästhesie/Hypnose operierte Patienten der Klinik mittels eines 14 Fragen umfassenden Fragebogens ihre individuelle postoperative Behandlungszufriedenheit. Als Kontrollgruppe diente ein nach Größe, demografischen und chirurgischen Variablen gleich zusammengesetztes, aber im selben Zeitraum ohne Hypnose behandeltes Patientenkollektiv.

Ergebnisse

Eine intraoperative Hypnose erhöht die Zufriedenheit mund-, kiefer- und gesichtschirurgischer Patienten mit ihrer Behandlung signifikant. Die Zufriedenheit der Hypnosepatienten wird maßgeblich auf das adjuvante Verfahren zurückgeführt.

Abstract

The Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein/Campus Lübeck offers intraoperative hypnosis since 2002. Besides clinical evaluation by controlled studies, patients attitudes should be included in the judgement on such adjuvant procedure not established in general.

70 patients of the department treated under combined local anaesthesia/hypnosis rated their individual postoperative patient satisfaction by standardised questionnaires. A control group of equal size and demographic/surgical features consisted of patients that were treated without hypnosis in the same interval.

Results of the inquiry indicate that intraoperative hypnosis increases significantly postoperative satisfaction of oral and maxillofacial patients. Satisfaction is attributed decisively on the adjuvant procedure.
