Porphyria cutanea tarda bei einem Langzeithämodialysepatienten

Zusammenfassung

Wegen des seltenen Vorkommen wird der Fall eines 61jährigen männlichen Patienten vorgestellt, bei dem seit über 4 Jahre Hämodialyse durchgeführt wurde. Während der Behandlung traten bullöse Hautveränderungen an den lichtexponierten Stellen auf. Die ausführliche Porphyrinanalyse ergab ein Porphyrinverteilungsmuster welches einer echten Porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT) entspricht. Zudem wird eine kurze Übersicht der Therapiemöglichkeiten angegeben.

Summary

A 61 year old man developed bullous skin lesions typical for porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT) after being on maintenance hemodialysis for 3 years. The porphyrinlevel in the urine, plasma, erythrocytes and stool supported the diagnosis of porphyria cutanea tarda, a very rare disease in patients with chronic renal failure on hemodialysis. Therapeutic possibilities are reviewed.
