The Lepocreadiidae (Digenea) of pomacentrid fishes (Perciformes) from Heron Island, Queensland, Australia

Abstract

The following lepocreadiid species are described from pomacentrid fishes from the Southern Great Barrier Reef at Heron Island, Queensland: Lepocreadium adlardi n. sp. from Abudefduf bengalensis; L. clavatum from Acanthochromis polyacanthus and Parma polylepis; Lepocreadium sp. from Amblyglyphidodon curacao; Lepocreadium sp. from Pomacentrus cf. wardi; Preptetos xesuri (new synonyms: P. caballeroi, P. pritchardae Toman, 1989 nec Ahmad, 1984) from Parma polylepis plus the acanthurid Naso annulatus; and P. cannoni from Pomacentrus bankanensis.
