Reconstructing cantilever beams via vibration mode with a given node location

Abstract

In this paper, we derive conditions for reconstructing the flexural stiffness of non-uniform cantilever beams by a mode that possesses a single node. The existence of beams with a specified location of the single node and various material density distributions is discussed.
