An overview on numerical techniques for modeling miniaturized passive components

Abstract

This paper presents a number of numerical techniques used for characterization and modeling of passive components for microwave and millimeter-wave circuits. Brief descriptions are provided for each technique with discussions on advantages, limitation, typical structures amenable to the method, and cautions to be exercised where appropriate. The text is intended to serve as a tutorial. Representative publications on each topic are included in the reference list.

Chaque technique est décrite brièvement avec discussion des avantages, des limitations, des structures typiques justifiant la méthode et des précautions à prendre. Le texte est présenté de manière didactique. Les publications représentatives de chaque thème sont incluses dans la liste des références.
