Platelet-activating factor (PAF) as a mediator of neutrophil-platelet interactions in inflammation

Abstract

The role of the platelet-neutrophil interaction in inflammation is discussed, as mediated by PAF released from neutrophils. Data fromin vivo andin vitro studies suggest that PAF is intimately involved in multiple interactions between neurophils and platelets.
