Abstract

Service engineering in the telecommunications world must be viewed as a discipline comparable with information engineering and be supported by a service architecture, comparable with the information architectures of the Information Technology world. The paper presents the service oriented perspective implied in a service architecture supporting Integrated Service Engineering activities.

Although the material presented here is largely based on work performed in R2049 Cassiopeia it should be seen as individual interpretation of results rather than a presentation of a project wide consensus.
