Part II. The rearrangement of the esters of dihydric phenols

Summary

The Fries migration of the esters of hydroquinone, resorcinol and orcinol have been studied under various conditions of temperature. A new and convenient method of the preparation of Y-acyl-orcinols has been discovered.
