Abstract
This paper reports on plasma focus (PF) current sheath interaction with a thin Al wire positioned on the PF electrode axis. A stable corona plasma was created around the wire which appeared to be a source of intensive X-ray radiation which aas considerably more intensive along the electrode axis than in the radial direction. Soft X-ray line radiation spectra of deeply ionized Al atoms were also registered in this experiment using a crystal spectrometer
