Conclusion

Is what we traditionally called fundamental physics the basic description of nature, or is it instead a simplified description of a reality to which we only now begin to gain some access through the study of complex processes? It would be presumptuous of us to try to answer yet, but the very fact that we can ask such questions shows that our perspectives have changed drastically since the time when, at least on our level, the laws of nature seemed to have reached their final formulation.
