Abstract
The heat effect of the reactions between metallic aluminum and NaOH(aq) solution of various concentrations were calorimetrically determined. Combining with the thermodynamic properties of related substances led to the thermodynamic properties of Al(OH) −4 (aq) as following:\(\begin{gathered} \Delta _f H_m^0 = - (1503.65 \pm 1.00)kJ \cdot mol^{ - 1} \hfill \\ \Delta _f G_m^0 = - (1305.29 \pm 1.00)J \cdot mol^{ - 1} \hfill \\ S_m^0 = - (99.51 \pm 3.50)J \cdot mol^{ - 1} \cdot K^{ - 1} \hfill \\ \end{gathered} \)
