Influence of the resection of the head of the radius on the function of the elbow-joint

Zusammenfassung

Von 165 Patienten mit Radiusköpfchenfreaktur aus den Jahren 1984 bis 1988 mußte 6mal wegen Trümmerbruches das Capitulum radii reseziert werden. Die Nachuntersuchung dieser 6 Patienten ergab 5mal ein sehr gutes funktionelles Resultat, bei voller Zufriedenheit der Patienten, 1mal war das objektive Ergebnis schelecht, der Patient aber subjektiv zufrieden.

Summary

From 1984 to 1988 165 patients with fracture of the head of the radius were treated. In 6 cases a resection of the head of the radius had been carried out because of communited fracture, 5 cases showed an excellent function, in 1 case the function was poor, whilst all 6 patients were content and had no disability at work.
