Abstract
The magnetic flux density of implantable electromagnetic blood flowmeter can not be made uniform, since the size of flowmeter probe must be very small for physiological reasons. The velocity distribution of blood flow is axially non-symmetrical everywhere in arteries.
Mainly for the above reasons the blood flow can not be measured accurately by implantable electromagnetic flowmeter.
In this paper the relation between induced electromotive force and flow rate for implantable electromagnetic flowmeters is presented, and the errors introduced by the factors mentioned above are discussed. In order to measure pulsatile or axially non-symmetrical flow accurately, appropriate flowmeter probes must be used. Some of these flowmeter probes are shown.

La densité de flux magnétique d'un débitmètre électromagnétique implantable ne peut pas être rendue uniforme, puisque la taille des sondes de débitmètres doit être très petite, pour des raisons physiologiques. La distribution des vitesses du débit sanguin est axialement non-symétrique, en n'importe quel point des artères.
C'est principalement pour les raisons citées ci-dessus que le débit sanguin ne peut pas être mesuré avec précision par les débitmètres électromagnétiques implantables.
L'auteur de cet article présente la relation entre la force électromotrice induite et le débit dans les débitmètres électromagnétiques implantables et y discute les erreurs introduites par les facteurs mentionnés ci-dessus. Pour mesurer le débit pulsé, ou le débit non-symétrique par rapport à l'axe de l'artère, on doit utiliser une sonde de débitmètre appropriée. L'auteur décrit quelques-unes de ces sondes.
Zusammenfassung
Die magnetische Flußdichte eines implantierbaren elektromagnetischen Blutströmungsmeßgerätes kann nicht uniform gehalten werden, da die Größe des Meßkopfes aus physiologischen Gründen sehr klein sein muß. Die Geschwindigkeitsverteilung des Blutstromes ist überall in den Arterien axial unsymmetrisch.
Hauptsäuchlich aus den obengenannten Gründen kann der Blutstrom nicht exakt durch implantierbare elektromagnetische Strömungsmeßgeräte bestimmt werden.
In dieser Arbeit wird die Beziehung zwischen der induzierten elektromotorischen Kraft und der Flußgeschwindigkeit für implantierbare elektromagnetische Strömungsmeßgeräte entwickelt. Die durch die obengenannten Faktoren eingebrachten Fehler werden diskutiert. Um pulsierende oder axial unsymmetrische Strömung exakt zu messen, muß ein geeigneter Meßkopf verwendet werden. Einige solcher Meßköpfe werden demonstriert.
