Summary
Corresponding electrical and magnetic components of the brain’s visual evoked response peaking at 120 and 180 ms poststimulus are examined. Results show that both magnetic components are localized in the superficial occipital cortex tangential to the scalp. The distribution ofM120 suggests that the generators for the electrical and magnetic components are related, but the electrical field recorded is an elaborate modification of that produced by the source.
