Assessment of gait using components of the ground reaction force vector

Abstract

A system has been developed utilising data from force plates by means of which changes in patient's gait following a clinical procedure may be monitored and assessed on an outpatient basis. The technique is being used as an objective assessment in an ongoing trial of postmeniscectomy treatment regimes.
