Influence of gas flow periodic reversals on operation of (K, Na)2O−V2O5 catalysts for SO2 oxidation to SO3

Abstract

The behavior of a number of commercial catalysts under periodic reversals of the gas mixture flow has been studied. It is shown that transient regimes are monotonic. Observed reaction rate is lower than that under steady-state conditions. The most active catalyst in cyclic regime is IK-1-6.

Abstract

Исследовалось поведение ряда промышленных катализаторов в режиме периодического реверса подачи газовой смеси. Показано, что переходные режимы монотонны, при этом наблюдаемая скорость реакции меньше, чем в стационарных условиях. Наиболее активен в циклическом режиме катализатор ИК-1-6.
