Mechanism of catalytic hydrogen oxidation on binary oxide systems based on α-alumina

Abstract

The initial rates of catalyst reduction with hydrogen in the steady state and the kinetic isotope effect (KIE) have been measured for hydrogen oxidation on a series of binary oxide catalysts based on α-alumina, Al2−xMexO3, where 0≤x≤2 and Me=Cr, Fe, Ga, La, Experimental evidence has been obtained in support of two different mechanisms in the high and low-temperature regions.

Abstract

Измерены начальные скорости восстановления катализаторов водородом в стационарном состоянии, а также величины кинетических изотопных зффектов (КИЭФ) в реакции окисления водорода на ряде бинарных окисных катализаторов на основе альфа-окиси алюминия общей формулой Al2−xMexO3, где 0<-x≤2 и Me=Cr, Fe, Ga, La. На основании полученных результатов сделан вывод о протекании реакции по двум различным механизмам в области высоких и низких температур.
