Abstract

The development of a demonstration program to provide multiphasic, multi-modality treatment, and rehabilitation services in a community mental health clinic is described. Critical components are presented, and an underlying therapeutic philosophy which eschews unwitting reinforcement of social breakdown is propounded. Followup studies show that more than 70% of the psychotic patient population are benefited.
