Summary

Of identical twins 32 months of age, one was anorchidic and the other had a normal descended right testis and a hypoplastic, inguinal cryptorcidic left testis. The hypoplastic testis was removed and transplanted to the anorchidic twin in order to improve hormonal development. Microvascular 11/O Vicryl sutures were used to form a vascular anastomosis between the spermatic artery and vein and the deep inferior epigastric vessels. The ductus deferens was reanastomosed in two layers. The Doppler probe and testicular perfusion scintigraphy proved that the testicular transplantation was successful.
