Summary

A volume-controlled membrane pump (volume per breath 0...10 ml) with a variable frequency (10, 20, 30 ... 120/min) and automatic sigh mechanism (interval 5–30 min, number of expiration stops 1, 2 or 3) can be fitted with an additional device for ether narcosis (concentration of ether can be adjusted by variation of the ratio ether: room air between 1:1 and 1: 23). The pump weighs 4 kg and measures 22 X 12 X 9 cm.

The device has been used successfully in 250 experiments, including 100 thoracotomies.

Zusammenfassung

Volumengesteuerte Membranpumpe (Atemzugvolumen 0...10 ml); Frequenz variabel (10,20,30...120/min).
