Abstract
C57BL/Uae inbred mice are similar to C57BL/6J and C57BL/10J mice in displaying a high preference for morphine presented in a saccharin vehicle. C57BL/Uae mice are unique among investigated C57BL lines in not showing a high preference for alcohol. This pattern of differences among closely related inbred strains could be useful in investigating commonalities of alcohol and morphine effects.
