Summary
Cultures grown on Hylon corn starch media produced the highest levels of phytase. Phospholipid extraction of Hylon starch did not change its effectiveness as a substrate. Cultures grown on phosphorylated dextrins from Hylon corn starch produced equivalent amounts of phytase.
