Abstract

The problem of rectangular waveguide with nonlinear dielectrics is discussed. The components of electromagnetic fields in the waveguide satisfy nonlinear partial differential equations. Using slowly varying envelope approximation, they can become well known nonlinear Schrodinger equation and soliton solution is got from the equation.
