Über ein Geschwisterpaar mit einer eigenartigen ektodermalen Dysplasie

Summary

The authors described two female siblings with dry, lustreless and unelastic hairs with telogen efluvium. They found in these cases an anomaly of the nails, symptoms of the eyes and a hypodonty.

The chromatographic analysis of the aminoacids in the hairs of the two siblings after a hydrolysis with concentrated hydrochloric acid showed that the relationship of the molecular ratio of the aminoacids histidin, lysin and arginine was anomalous.

The authors discussed in the case of the two siblings a genetically determined error of incorporation of these amino-acids in the hairs.

Zusammenfassung

Die Autoren beschrieben ein Geschwisterpaar weiblichen Gschlechtes mit trockenen, glanzlosen und unelastischen Haaren. Es bestand noch ein telogenes Effluvium. Außerdem fanden die Autoren bei beiden Patientinen eine Nagelanomalie, Augensymptome und Hypodontie.

Die chromatographische Analyse der Haare der Patientinen nach einer Hydrolyse mit konzentrierter Salzsäure ergab, daß das Verhältnis der molaren Gewichte der Aminosäuren Histidin, Lysin und Arginin von dem der Haare normaler Personen weiblichen Geschlechtes abwich. Es wurde ein genetisch bedingter Defekt des Einbaues dieser Aminosäuren in die Haare der Patientinen erörtert.
