Von einer 24 Std alten Ausgangskultur der Hefe Saccharomyces cerevisiae var. ellips. Yeast Foam (Winge) sporulierte ein höherer Prozentsatz von Zellen als von älteren Kulturen.

Den entscheidenden Faktor für frühe und synchrone Sporulation bildete das Alter des Acetat-Agars (nach Fowel). 3. Tage alter Agar war besser geeignet als frischer Agar.

Die Menge der Suspensionsflüssigkeit, die auf den Sporulationsagar aufgetragen wurde, beeinflußte den Sporulationsbeginn nur schwach.
