Zusammenfassung
Bericht über ein Material von 343 Fällen (380 Kurven) von Patienten mit 14 und 6/sec-positiven Spitzen im EEG. Kinder und Jugendliche überwogen eindeutig. Die positiven Spitzen waren fast nur im Schlaf oder während Schläfrigkeit nachweisbar.
Die wichtigsten diagnostischen Gruppen unserer Patienten waren: Epilepsie (130 Patienten), psychiatrische Störungen (75 Patienten), Schwachsinn mit Zeichen frühkindlicher Hirnschädigung (47 Patienten), paroxysmale Kopfschmerzen und abdominelle Attacken (46 Patienten).
In der psychiatrischen Gruppe war der Prozentsatz reiner 14 und 6-positiver Spitzen mit 50,6% viel höher als in der Epilepsie-Gruppe (22,5%). Die positiven Spitzen können daher nicht als eigentliches Krampfpotential betrachtet werden. Ihre Korrelation mit aggressivpsychopathischen Zuständen scheint von besonderer Bedeutung zu sein.
Das gelegentliche Vorkommen positiver Spitzen bei gesunden Personen sollte als „potentielle Abnormität“ aufgefaßt werden.
