Summary
Although the significance of the cleavage lines of skin is well known in plastic surgery, it is considered that there is still uncertainty about their exact location in the female mammary region; this prompted us to undertake a further investigation. The result, showing a distinct difference to Langer's findings, is described in this paper. Incisions made exactly in the skin cleavage lines improve the aesthetic results.
