Summary
Experience with the distally pedicled first dorsal metacarpal flap is presented. The anatomical basis of the flap is discussed, and four examples are presented from a group of ten cases. In this series, all flaps were successful. The possibility of using a second web reverse dorsal metacarpal flap and venous reverse flap of the dorsal part of the hand is also discussed.
