Abstract

In this paper, a monopole UWB antenna is presented which has reconfigurable multiband notch characteristics. Antenna design is based on split ring resonators, which are introduced on patch side and a complementary rhombic split ring resonator is implemented as a slot on patch. SRR and CSRR are used for notching the different frequency bands. Two pin diodes are mounted on the SRR. Different states of the switches serve different notches in the frequency band, thus leading to band notch reconfigurability. VSWR and gain are analyzed for different modes of operations. CST microwave studio is used to design and simulate the antenna.
