Das Regionale Hochschulrechenzentrum der Universität Bonn (RHRZ) bedient mit seiner nun zehn Jahre alten zentralen Datenverarbeitungsanlage vom Typ IBM /370–168 rund um die Uhr die Aufträge der etwa 6000 Benutzer aus den verschiedensten, über das ganze Stadtgebiet verstreuten Fachbereichen. Die Anlage wird in den Betriebsarten Stapel- und Dialogverarbeitung gefahren, wobei die Stapelverarbeitung eindeutig überwiegt.
