Abstract
In six chapters we have dealt with the chemistry of molecules containing C=O double bonds (Chapter 6–11). In this context we encountered
-
nucleophilic substitutions (Chapter 6),
-
H-Het eliminations leading to nitriles (Section 7.1) or heterocumulenes (Section 8.1, 8.3),
-
nucleophilic additions (Section 7.2, 8.2, 8.3, 9.1, Chapter 10, Section 11.2–11.4),
-
nucleophilic additions in combination with an SN1 reaction (Section 9.2), an E1 elimination (Section 9.3) or an Ar-SN reaction (Section 11.4), and
-
the one-step formation of oxaphosphetanes through [2+2]-cycloadditions (Section 11.1).
