Abstract

In this paper, we present an algebraic relational operator called antidivision and we describe a range of interpretations that can be attached to this operator in the context of databases with fuzzy relations (i.e., relations that contain weighted tuples). We also study the way(s) this operator can be made tolerant to exceptions in order to limit the risk of obtaining empty answers.
