Abstract
The article attempts to define the principle of the simplicity of the organizational structure and its determinants. It has been established that abiding by the principle of simplicity means minimizing the level of structural characteristics (such as hierarchy, centralization, specialization and formalization), as well as increasing the transparency of organizational rules. The factors shaping the simplicity of the organizational structure were also indicated.
